Bleach Episode Summaries

The first episode of Bleach starts as a dim scene from which invisible entities walk the earth. A black butterfly is seen flying overhead as the figure of a girl garbed in black is shown standing on a telephone pole. She senses a strong pulse and with great leaps, she flies toward the city. A young man with orange hair stands before five other guys with one of them on the floor. One of the guys loses his temper and aims a punch at the orange guy, only to be kicked in the face and beat upon. The young man asks the three remaining boys a question . . .

Episode two begins with Ichigo’s father trying to wake him with a drop kick. Ichigo manages to counter it and immobilize him by squeezing his head with his hand and the other hand shaking in anger. While yelling “what kind of father tries to break his son’s neck in the morning” at his father he suddenly realizes its morning. Remembering the Hollow attack and last night’s incident Ichigo immediately asks if Yuzu and Karin are ok. Ichigo’s father looks confused and says there were no injuries . . .

Episode 3 - The Older Brother's Wish, the Younger Sister's Wish

Episode three begins with the flashback of episode two when Ichigo fought the hollow of Inoue’s brother. Ichigo’s soul slayer blow was too shallow, but it was enough to show the identity of Inoue’s brother. The hollow screams in agony and disappears back to it’s other world where its broken mask is reformed. Ichigo informs Rukia that the hollow that attack him was Inoue’s brother . . .

Episode 4 - Cursed Parakeet

Episode four starts off at nighttime where a young man is trying to sell a parakeet to Chad (Sado) and Sheigo. There is a catch though, the parakeet is cursed. Everyone who has owned the parakeet died horrible deaths. The seller asks Shigeo if he wants it. He refuses recalling what the seller had just told him. Shigeo asks the seller why he didn’t get rid of it already. The seller tells him that he kind of felt sorry for it. He then asks Chad if he wants it saying it’s cute . . .

Episode 5 - Beat the Invisible Enemy!

Episode five begins with Rukia casting way of destruction 33, Soukatsui. The hollow laughs asking if that's a death god spell. It says that it’s so weak, it didn’t hurt one bit. Rukia jumps back thinking that she hasn’t recovered enough to use that level of demon magic. The scene cuts to Ichigo running back from his house, after he put Karin to bed. Ichigo thinks of how many years its been since Karin last cried until their mom died . . .
